Welcome
to the old weblog of the Natal Midlands Jaguar and Daimler Association (NMJDA) in Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa. We are an eclectic bunch of like-minded individuals who love, restore and drive (mostly old, but some new) Jaguars and Daimlers. Our group is possibly unique among South African Jaguar clubs in that this is not, strictly speaking, a club; there is no constitution, no formal bank account, almost zero assets, minimal fees and no b.s. Being the big-hearted chaps and chapesses we are, we include owners of Rolls-Royces and Bentleys in our midst because there is no local club or association catering to their needs.
We meet twice monthly; for a noggin and natter at various places, on rotation, on the second Tuesday and again sometime over the third weekend, for a drive somewhere to do whatever it is that our Events Organiser has planned for us. This could be lunch, a breakfast, a visit to a museum dedicated to old machinery or simply a goodwill run with another group catering to things old, and possibly not even British.
Occasionally, we have been known to provide wedding cars or to transport teenagers to high
school dances, but we don't make a habit of it.
